Tips and Tricks
SONG INPUT:
If your goal is to get a long song to fit on two pages, try these ideas! Start typing the songs in Font Size 14. That way the lines can't outgrow the page but can be reduced to fit the smaller-font displays.
Make sure you use as much of each line as you can. Dividing the song into short phrases is helpful while learning it, but the unused space on each line extends the length of the song. (Leave a small amount of space at the end of each line to allow for split-screen adjustments.)

Only type the chorus/refrain once unless it is musically necessary (ie change in chords or melody), otherwise use phrases such as 'REPEAT', 'CHORUS', 'RETURN TO VERSE ONE', etc. If the lyrics are too long for a line, abbreviate some of the common words such as 'w/o' to replace without or 'o/t' for 'of the'.
SEARCHING FOR SONGS:
Some song titles, especially hymns, include commas, hyphens, etc. If a song is not coming up in the index, try including punctuation (ie 'Jesus Hold My Hand' should read 'Jesus, Hold My Hand' OR 'Someday' should read 'Some Day') Sometimes there are five or six similar songs with the same title. In order to tell one for another in the index, add the composer's name at the end of the title. Don't add the author's name! There are lots of songs of the same lyrics but with different music. When you can only remember parts of a title, type in those key words and search the index that pops up. If the key words are correct, your song should appear.
